Firmware & Software Updates - CarPlay / Android Auto Retrofit

If your CarPlay/Android Auto retrofit is experiencing bugs or you’ve been advised to update, follow these steps.

1. Check Your Current Firmware Version • Turn on the system and go to Settings → System Information. • Take a photo of the software version screen. • This confirms whether an update is needed and which file is correct.

1. Requesting the Update

Send the following to support@bavarian-automotive.co.uk:
• Your order number.
• Your kit type (CCC, CIC, NBT, EVO).
• A photo of the software version screen.

You will then be sent the correct update file if required.

1. Preparing the Update • Format a USB stick to FAT32. • Copy the supplied update file(s) directly onto the USB root (do not rename or place inside folders). • Ensure ignition is ON throughout the update process.

1. Running the Update
   1. Insert USB stick into the retrofit USB port.
   2. Go to Settings → Update.
   3. Select the file and confirm.
   4. The system will reboot once complete.

⚠️ Do not remove power or USB until update finishes. Interrupting may corrupt the system.
