2️⃣ Fixing Screen Resolution / Flickering / Zoomed Display

If the screen looks:

  • Too zoomed in
  • Showing black bars
  • Flickering
  • Wrong aspect ratio

➡️ Go to: Settings → Car Setting → Original Car’s Screen Resolution
Choose the correct type based on your original BMW screen:

Original BMW Screen Select This Setting
6.5" small screen 800×480
8.8"/10.25" NBT / CIC / EVO 1280×480 or 1920×720 (depends on unit)

✅ After selecting → hold MENU for 3 seconds to refresh display.

Optional:

If OEM iDrive appears in a small window instead of full screen:
➡️ Toggle Force OEM System Full Screen → ON

3️⃣ Audio Output Setup (AUX vs Bluetooth)
Your screen supports 3 audio methods depending on your BMW model:

Method When To Use How To Enable
✅ AUX (most common) Car doesn’t support BT audio Select AUX inside BMW iDrive
✅ Car Bluetooth Audio If BMW already supports BT music Settings → System → Use Car’s BT Channel = ON
✅ USB Audio (ID6 only) If using USB audio transfer box Select USB in BMW media menu

⚠ If you hear no sound in CarPlay/Android Auto → see “Audio Troubleshooting” article.
